Full-Time Opportunities

Living Locations:

Upon committing to serve with ADE, suitable living arrangements will be made for you within Vara Blanca, San Rafael or another one of the surrounding towns. As part of its development model, ADE strives to live among the people it serves as part of the community in every regard. Therefore, full-time staff should expect to be assigned to living situations that reflect local housing conditions. More details will be arranged upon completion of application and acceptance.
Community Purse:
As a member of the ADE staff, you will take part in the financial cooperation of the Community Purse.  The CP means by which ADE staff members all receive financial provision and share in their benefits together, the Community Purse was established as a means of budgeting for each member of the ADE staff community. Another means by which the ADE team actively engages in community with one another, we believe that you will find your own experience of the Community Purse a blessing.

Current Opportunities:

Set up an organic farming and gardening program to help make self-sustaining communities and help to document the area's biodiversity in order to allow for transformational development.
Serve as spiritual advisor and discipleship mentor to the ADE community. Work alongside churches to develop a healthy and comprehensive Christian discipleship in local areas.
Marketing and Development 
Assist ADE in creating a comprehensive marketing plan for our various programs and activities or for small businesses in the local community.
Web Design and community education
Manage and develop ADE’s website and technology assets. Work with students in the school or others in the community to develop practical technology and computer skills that will benefit the community.
Youth Programs
Work with the local Protestant church to minister to local high school and middle school students. There are currently few opportunities to build the area's future leaders, but the youth have incredible potential for development.
International Director for Sustainability (IDS) 
The IDS position is the primary contact for people and groups who are seeking to come down to visit, work with, and partner with ADE both in Costa Rica and abroad. The IDS also works to support the building of the ADE Center for Sustainable Studies which is a center for environmental studies as well as a missions training center. 

National Director for Ecological Protection (NDEP)
The NDEP position works with community and national leaders to promote Creation Care practices in the surrounding communities where ADE works primarily through the development of a Biological Corridors (promoting specie migration and habitat growth) ans well as growing the organic agriculture production that ADE already has. The NDEP would also work on developing the Center for Sustainable Studies.
